Home - school partnership
A partnership between home and school improves the motivation and learning of pupils. All parents want their children to develop and school is one of the key team players we have for achieving this. Parents are important for children’s learning and children who receive help and support at home have better opportunities to do well at school.
In order to achieve a good home-school partnership, parents must have a real influence and say, and home and school must make joint and binding decisions.
The dialogue between home and school takes place on three levels of involvement:
- Pupil
- Class/group
- School
The partnership can take place through various forums:
- Conference sessions
- Parent meetings
- The school’s coordinating committee.
